Backpacking is one of the most crucial and tiresome parts of any trip. Whenever we go out of our cozy homes, we need to carry out a set of activities to make sure that our trip goes hassle free and comfortably. For many, backpacking is a cumbersome activity, while for others it’s very interesting. Here are a few tips on back packing.

Listing down the items required is the best way to start.

It would be very helpful to make a list of items that you need to backpack. Surely you are not carrying the entire home-stuff, so it’s very important to analyze what items are actually needed. This again would depend on the place and purpose of visit and the duration of stay. After listing, you may double-check the check list to make sure that listed items are really required. If you are doubtful about some items, it’s better to drop them off your list.

Shopping and collecting the listed items.

Firstly start gathering items available inside the house and collect them in one place, and then shop for the balance items. Try to carry maximum use-and-throw kind of products, as it will save you a lot weight while you are on your way hiking. Always go for light weight products while backpacking.

What not to pack…

Never take expensive items or something that you are sentimentally attached to since thefts while hiking are very common.

Do not carry heavy items like laptops or heavy books as it will only add to the weight and make you feel exhausted soon. A lighter luggage will help you explore places with much freedom.

Most important docs:

A copy of passport, travel insurance, credit cards, ID proof should always be packed safely in a hand bag or wait bag. Some people keep one copy in each bag for added safety.

Packing:

Items that you may need handy maybe stuffed on the side pockets for easy access. All important documents such as passport, credit cards and travel insurance should always be stacked in the lower level of the bag.

Clothes and accessories:

Always do a weather research of your destination before packing clothes and accessories. Compare the maximum and minimum temperature with that of your city to come to an accurate conclusion. Pack clothes that would suit you at that particular temperature. You are recommended not to carry many clothes because we all tend to buy clothes from the new places we visit. Leave space in the bag for all the shopping or otherwise it will restrict your buying or else you will come back with regret. Carry two light weight towels and disposable undergarments. They are actually worth the price when you are on the go!

Bag size and capacity:

Never over stuff the bag, leave enough space your shopped stuff while you are traveling. Take a bag size that you can carry yourself comfortably without anyone’s help. People in your group will take care of their luggage, so it is wise not to depend on them for any help.

Have a happy trip!
